Back in 2018, I wrote "The Gronsfeld Cipher before Count Gronsfeld". The cipher was for for Silvio Calandra (c.1540-1590), ambassador of the Duke of Mantua involved in diplomatic missions with Savoy and Milan in 1560s-1570s.
Now, I noticed a second instance for "Andreasi". Although the specific date is not known, it seems significant that this is again associated with Mantua.
See a new section "Gronsfeld Cipher" in "Italian Cryptography (Stub)".
